Personal Information Collected
Canoo only collects Personal Information you choose to disclose while you interact with or use the Services, including when you take advantage of Canoo offers through our partners. We do not collect information about you that you have disclosed to third-party apps or websites, other than in relation to you redeeming Canoo offers.
We may ask you to provide information when you register, subscribe, or create an account for our Services, contact Canoo for customer service purposes, or otherwise interact with or use the Services. We may collect certain types of information, including information that can be used to reasonably identify you, such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, date of birth, geographic location, and mobile device data (as described below) (“Personal Information”), and information that does not identify you personally.
We use common internet technologies, such as cookies and web beacons, on our websites and emails.
Uses and Sharing
We aggregate and depersonalize information which we use for a variety of purposes, including assessing and improving our services, and conducting research relating to new Canadian citizens. As a registered charity, we use this aggregated and depersonalized information as performance indicators when requesting for external funding.
We use personal information to determine your eligibility for participation in our programs and events, and as necessary to provide our services.
We do not share your personal information unless we have asked for and obtained your explicit consent. If you do not provide your consent, we will not share your information unless required by law.
When we temporarily provide personal information to facilitate our programs and events, we require the recipients of your personal information to protect the information in a similar manner as ICC. These recipients cannot use your personal information for any other purpose than the reason you provided it to ICC.
You may access personal information that we hold about you. You can ask us to correct any errors or delete the information we have about you.
You may opt-out at any time from any further contact from us.
You may change your privacy choices at any time through a variety of methods.
Protection of Personal Information
We use a combination of physical, organizational and technological safeguards to protect your personal information.
We store your personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and for a reasonable time thereafter, or as permitted or required by law.
No information transmitted over the internet can be completely secure. Any transmission of personal information can result in unauthorized use which could cause you harm.
